Develop a global partnership for development

The Development Assistance Database (DAD) Community of Practice (CoP) is a global forum of practitioners whose shared goal is to advance development effectiveness through the smart and sustainable application of DAD - a web-based information system that governments use to manage for development results. This report aims to present the major themes discussed during the first two conferences, which took place in 2009 and 2011. The purpose here is not to detail conference proceedings, but rather to synthesize the key findings in a manner relevant for policymaking and accessible to a broad audience of development practitioners. In addition, the report contextualizes the DAD CoP by providing a brief history of the DAD, with a particular focus on its continuous evolution to address an ever-broadening scope of government needs.
